“Those who have no compassion have no wisdom. Knowledge, yes; cleverness, maybe; wisdom, no. A clever mind is not a heart.Knowledge doesn’t really care. Wisdom does.” – The Tao of Pooh
I’ve been reading The Tao of Pooh by Benjamin Hoff. Some people believe spiritual beliefs shouldn’t be ‘mixed’ together … I’d say the people saying that are the ones who are not secure in their own spiritual beliefs … I am secure in what I believe and therefore, I choose to explore other spiritual paths for enlightenment.
There’s a lot to be learned by reading spiritually related books — like The Tao of Pooh. I’ve prayed for peace regarding a certain situation I’ve been in for months and months — I’ve received peace during the worst moments of this ‘nightmare’ that just seemingly will never end and it’s taken the words of Winnie the Pooh 🙂 to provide some insight into some of the people who inhabit our planet.
Will my faith ever change? No – it won’t, but my path will take me across many different spiritual beliefs … like the Tao, the Dalai Lama and other things … if you’re secure in your faith — these journeys need not be avoided! I’ve learned a lot in the last few weeks … My own faith teaches that we should turn the other cheek in bad situations and I’ve done that on many occassions, but sometimes you just need additional ‘back-up’ 🙂 … this helps bring meaning and understanding to what’s going on within our lives … I think I’m a better person because of the last few weeks and I know when I am away from this situation — I’ll be an even stronger and better person because of having gone through it.
And that’s all I’ve got to say today … I hope everyone that is a Dad — biological, adoptive or otherwise — has a well-deserved celebration! 🙂

“Everything has its own place and function. That applies to people, although many don’t seem to realize it, stuck as they are in the wrong job, the wrong marriage, or the wrong house. When you know and respect your Inner Nature, you know where you belong. You also know where you don’t belong.” The Tao of Pooh
I think anyone with an ounce of sanity understands why Dina called it quits on RHoNJ. 😦 It’s sad hard to see her leave instead of the loose canon that is Danielle. I’m constantly amazed – and not in a good way – with how the truly crazy people truly, truly believe they are 210% sane — uhmmm, yeah like Danielle. Seriously. Someone said to me, “You can’t write stuff on a blog about her.” I was like, “Have you watched the show?”
For evidence … Danielle said that she used to be a Burlesque dancer. Uhmmm, did you watch the show on Monday night? I’ve got four words for that statement: Burlesque dancer my ass. And the entire, “He hid cameras in my bedroom to film us having sex and I’m not quiet on the bedroom.” I just cannot say what I want to say. :X
It’s just crazy … the even CRAZIER part — the people who are flocking to the Danielle Three-Ring Circus … apparently, the apples don’t fall far from the trees in the Land of Oz — cause all of those people are either (1) looking to have some TV time or (2) they’re just as insane as Danielle. You’d think I’m a part of this family — this Kim “G” lady … well, yeah … just watch next week.
One thing I absolutely admire about Caroline, Dina, Jacqueline & Teresa is their loyalty to family. Family does matter and I speak from personal experience — there are days that I get annoyed with my family, but I’d NEVER throw them to the curb — they are my biggest advocates — my biggest cheerleaders — my biggest supporters and they love me UNCONDITIONALLY. And, I’m lucky to have a few friends in my life who treat me the same way. 🙂
I’m so happy that Wimbledon is just days away … and the World Cup is going on! 🙂 Lots of sport for me to watch on TV and of course the not so happy stuff to see on tv … the oil spill. I literally get sick to my stomach watching the coverage … seeing the all the wildlife being devastated by this horrific oil spill. I was a Hillary supporter and this event … just tells me even more why I was a Hillary support. EXPERIENCE MATTERS. I’m sorry, but being a community activist does not make one ready to assume the Office of the President of the United States of America.
I’m sorry, but things are way worse now than they were when Mr Obama took office. His supporters can scream as loud as they want that it’s not true … but it’s true. Just look at your paycheck, savings account, investments … and now, we’re $3.1 trillion dollars MORE in debt than we were in March 2009. The facts speak for themselves. I respect Mr Obama because he is the President; however, I do not respect the job he’s done. The middle class is really on the verge of collapse — and with its collapse — the foundation will fail and so goes the US. 😦
And this was supposed to be a short & sweet blog … too much going on in my head! Now off to catch up on TiVO!
